Founded in 1964 by the second
and third generations, Zaz Tannery gained quick recognition as a pioneer in the
manufacturing of Chrome Leather, which was amongst the first in India for the technology
of its time. Thus, Zaz Tannery broke away from the traditional leathers that India
produced and established a name for itself in the history of leather evolution. Zaz
Tannery proved a powerful competitor to the more sophisticated tanneries of Europe, but,
with a golden advantage of price. Zaz’s effort to create new indigenous processes was
tremendous, the results rewarding. While immersed in laboratories and ever expanding
production capacities, the Zaz reputation slowly built and customers began noting. Today,
as before, Zaz Tannery maintains an impeccable reputation for quality, delivery, customer
service and product innovation.
